About Our Rabbits

Rabbits are born and raised right here on the farm. They are a mix breed of Silver Fox and American Blue rabbits, both of which are heritage breeds. We plan to have pure bred American Blue rabbits available for sale for either meat or show, they will be pedigreed. Young rabbits are weaned and moved out to their pasture rabbit tractor at around 6 weeks of age where they will remain until they are ready for market at around 12 weeks of age. 

Did you know rabbit meat is higher in digestible protein and lower in fat than chicken? It taste quite similar to chicken and is fed a grain free diet.

What do they eat?

Our bunnies are fed a diet of non gmo pelleted rabbit feed which supplies the protein and minerals they need, along with fresh hay and forages. Rabbits being raised for meat, once placed in their rabbit tractors, are moved twice daily to fresh forages. They love eating alfalfa, clover and other fresh forages.

Market Ready Or Breeding Stock Available

Rabbits are ready for market at around 10-12 weeks of age and average around 3.5 lbs dressed. They are processed at an local meat processor either Munsell's Poultry Processing in Fowlerville. Animals come shrink wrapped and whole. If interested in other rabbit parts let us know and we can do a special request for certain parts. 

Right now we are only raising meat rabbit litters during the warmer months, so animals will primarily be available from April - October.  But please let us know if interested so we can add you to our list. Or if you are interested in pedigreed American Blue rabbits let us know, we will have litters available throughout the year.
